Individual Awards
 2011 - Chapter Executive Board Member Cindy Cichosz, CPP received the honored to serve the American Payroll Association as a Vice President. She is the first Payroll Professional from the State of Wisconsin to be asked to serve in a National position.
 2010 - During National Payroll Week Lynn Ruege, CPP Payroll Coordinator and the BloodCenter of Wisconsin, Inc. were the first to receive the John B. Hiddleson Memorial-Greater Milwaukee Chapter of APA Special Friend Award for their continuous support of the Chapter and it's members. The BloodCenter sponsors a meeting each year and is one of the Chapters charities. The Chapter has a dedicated number that members can use when donating blood the Chapter receives recognition for it. Thank you Lynn and the BloodCenter for your many years of continuous support.
 2010 - Michelle Ganzer, CPP - Payroll Manager at Briggs & Stratton Corp. was honored at the 2010 American Payroll Association Congress with a "Special Recognition" Award. Only a few of these awards are granted each year to APA members who serve on national committees and local chapters. They have served consistently for many years on a voluntary basis.
 2010 - February - In honor of John Hiddleson's dedication to our Chapter and teaching all payroll professionals, the Officers and Executive Board of the Greater Milwaukee Chapter has decided to honor John and re-name the "Special Friend" of the Chapter Award the "John B. Hiddleson Memorial - Greater Milwaukee Chapter - Special Friend Award". This award will be given annually to an outstanding government, vendor or member relationship. The award will now be given during our National Payroll Week celebration or when the chapter hosts the statewide conference. Thank you John, for your dedication to the Greater Milwaukee Chapter of APA.
2009 - At the Wisconsin Statewide Payroll Conference, "How Green Is Your Payroll" -Cultivating Success in Your Payroll Environment, we honored Scott Bankert & Mike Mohr and TALX Corporation with the "Special Friend" of the Chapter Award - Vendor for their continuous support of the Wisconsin Payroll Conference and our chapter. TALX has been a major sponsor at our Conferences, they are a sponsor of our website and they sponsor and present at a Chapter meeting each year. Thank you to TALX for the many years of support.
2009 - At the Wisconsin Statewide Payroll Conference, "How Green Is Your Payroll" -Cultivating Success in Your Payroll Environment, we honored Michelle Ganzer, CPP, Claire Wojtak, CPP, and the rest of their payroll team, as well as their company, Briggs and Stratton Corporation, with the "Special Friend" of the Chapter Award for their support of our Statewide Payroll Conference and Chapter. This is the third year that Briggs & Stratton has allowed us to use their location for our conference. Briggs also sponsors more than one Chapter meeting per year. Thank you to Michelle, Claire and Briggs & Stratton for your fantastic support and dedication to the Chapter.
2009 - At the Wisconsin Statewide Payroll Conference, "How Green Is Your Payroll" -Cultivating Success in Your Payroll Environment, we honored Diane Daumler and the rest of her payroll team, as well as their company, Johnson Controls, with the "Special Friend" of the Chapter Award for their support of our conference and chapter. Johnson Controls was our Thursday night networking event location sponsor, giving us tours of their "LEEDS" green company to tie into our "Green Theme". Johnson Controls also sponsors a Chapter Meeting each year. Thank you to Diane and Johnson Controls for your support of the Chapter.
2007 - At the Wisconsin Statewide Payroll Conference, "Dancing with the Stars of Payroll, we honored Rick Derse and Ceridian with the "Special Friend" of the Chapter Award - Vendor for their continuous support of the Wisconsin Statewide Payroll Conference and our chapter. Ceridian has a major sponsor at our Conferences providing Speakers and sponsorship of items, they have also sponsored meetings and our website. Thank you to Rick and Ceridian for many years of Support to the Chapter.
2007- At the Wisconsin Statewide Payroll Conference, "Dancing with the Stars of Payroll" we honored Michelle Ganzer, CPP, Claire Wojtak, CPP, and the rest of their payroll team, as well as their company, Briggs and Stratton Corporation, with the "Special Friend" of the Chapter Award for their support of our conference and chapter. This is the second year that Briggs & Stratton has allowed us to use their location for our conference. Briggs also sponsors at least one or more meetings per year. 2004 - Michelle Ganzer, CPP, Payroll Manager Briggs & Stratton Corporation, received the 2004 Donald W. Sharper Education Grant.
2003 - At the Wisconsin Statewide Payroll Conference, "Rainbow of Change", we honored Frank Wilkinson, Sales Manager, as well as Kronos Incorporated, with the chapter’s Special Friend Award for their continuous support of the chapter and payroll professionals in the state of Wisconsin over the past 10 years.

2002 - During National Payroll Week, we presented John Hiddelson, IRS Senior Tax Specialist, the "Special Friend of the Chapter Award". John is a member our Chapter, and has done presentations at our meetings and conferences regarding IRS issues. John always brings the latest information from the IRS, and latest regulations. He also has helped many of our members with problem resolutions and by answering questions. It's great to have a friend at the IRS to call and know personally!
